The Scheduler and Medical Records Clerk performs various duties associated with routine patient encounters, maintaining positive relationships with patients, family members, visitors and fellow employees.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process incoming calls for appointments; be able to handle multi-line telephone/extension numbers, handling 50 to 75 calls per day
  • Correctly enter demographic information into the appropriate system
  • Review and assess patient medical record to determine the correct study to schedule
  • Inform patients of clinic procedures; know which exams require preparation and inform patients of protocols

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 7 – 11 months related experience and/or education
